Old Character Returns

The darkness begins to creep back into his heart and his mind. He sits in his house, all is quiet as the heater begins kicks in. In the back of his mind the jitters calm. A calm that he has feared would return for years. Slowly his eyes close and open. His vision becomes blurred. Slowly he reaches for the glasses on his face. He takes them off and looks at them, then slowly folds each side down and sets it on the arm rest of the couch. He stares at it long listening to every motion in the house. Many years have passed since this feeling has come since “he” has returned.

For years there was a back and forth fight over dominion, over control. Sometimes giving into the dark. The swift. The able. Dark isn’t evil. Dark is cryptic. Dark is powerful. Dark… is untouchable. Dark is strong and emotionless. Without fear and nearly another person.

When in danger he will come. The night training of a man who thought himself to be the hero, and defender of innocent. A man who thought he could become more and knew that he would one day fight all things, even the supernatural. However that day never came, soon he found himself fighting for dominion over reality. Which part is really real, what is the truth. Sometimes he wonders. After years however, in danger, in presence of things that could be of supernatural fear. He has not returned.

Now, something has called him. Now something has awakened him. The far side has called, and he must realize true danger is approaching.. his presence is felt. Now the question is, will he fully awaken and take dominion. Why has he returned.  Orion has come.
